The Cincinnati Zoo Inquiry Program
The students are learning about the inquiry process. They are investigating a comparative question. They had to make a hypothesis and develop an action plan to test their question. Next week we will meet other animals and present our findings to the class.
The Underground Railroad
The Cincinnati Museum Center's Program on Wheels came to help us understand what the Underground Railroad was all about. Our instructor shared lots of stories about slaves who escaped to freedom using the Underground Railroad. The students also got to see what some of the slave ships looked like, living conditions were like, and felt what the shackles were like for men, women, and children.
Museum Center Fun: What's the Matter?
Students spent the morning learning all about the states of matter. They also had the opportunity to experience an endothermic and exothermic chemical reaction. Ask them about what they thought was the most fascinating experiment! What a great field trip! Thanks to Mr. Suttschenko and Mrs. Peterson for chaperoning on our trip!
Cincinnati Cyclones Field Trip
The 3rd graders had fun with the fourth graders on our field trip to U.S. Bank Arena. The Cincinnati Cyclones put on a great show and played a winning game for many local schools! It was a packed house!
Magic Projects!
The students practice their public speaking skills and performance skills in front of the school. They performed their magic acts and presentations beautifully. What an impressive show!
What's in the Sack?
The third graders had a great time sharing items from home that are special to them and reveal a little bit about who they are. It was fun getting to know them more and watching them practice and refine their public speaking and presentation skills. Way to go third grade!
Moving Groovin' Earth
Third grade learned all about weathering and erosion. Be sure to ask your child how our Earth can change.
